The Site

PoetryReviews.ca is dedicated to publishing reviews of poetry books and chapbooks written and/or published by Canadians. Since the site's inception in January 2006, we have published 122 reviews by 41 different reviewers.

Editor - Eric Barstad

Eric currently lives with his partner Erin and their three cats -- Finnegan, Pickles, and Claude -- in Gleichen, Alberta, a small farming community an hour east of Calgary.

Eric completed his MA in English and Creative Writing at the University of New Brunswick in 2001 and now runs Shadow Box Creative Media, a web development company that builds websites for non-profit organizations. Eric published A Gloss on Our Painted Gods with Frontenac House in 2003 and is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta.

Reviews Editor - Ian LeTourneau

Ian LeTourneau's poetry has appeared in The Fiddlehead, Arc, Event, and The Malahat Review. His work has twice won CBC's Alberta Anthology, in 2005 and 2006. Gaspereau Press published Defining Range, a chapbook of poems, in 2006, and his first book Terminal Moraine was published by Thistledown Press in 2008. A transplanted Maritimer, he now lives in Athabasca, Alberta with his wife, son and cat.
